Our commitment to greener production

In the metalworking industry, green can seem like a hypocritical concept. How can a company that uses processes that are inherently energy-intensive be green? The answer, for us at NOVA TEK, exists and is called commitment. We have overcome this apparent contradiction by making sustainability one of our strengths. Our path towards a greener future is based on four fundamental pillars: certified raw materials, photovoltaic panels, state-of-the-art machinery and digitisation. Let us look at them one by one in detail.

The 4 cornerstones for green production according to NOVA TEK

  1. Certified raw materials: we use certified materials that allow us to recycle waste, putting it back into the market for new uses and contributing to the circular economy;

  1. Photovoltaic panels: the photovoltaic roofing, initially installed to cover 70% of our energy needs, now covers 40%, and we are planning to expand it on the new building, thus reducing the consumption of non-renewable energy;

  1. State-of-the-art machinery: thanks to a state-of-the-art fibre laser, we reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions by 50%, achieving maximum efficiency and sustainability;

  1. Digitalisation: we have digitalised the workstations, drastically reducing the use of  ….. .

 A small change that generates big savings.

Being green in metalworking is a big challenge, but at NOVA TEK we believe that innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand. Watch our interview on Greenbitz to learn more about our approach to green production!

Our path to 100% sustainable production

Imagining creating a turning company that is completely carbon neutral is difficult, but we at NOVA TEK have never backed down, even in the most difficult times and through hard challenges. Our will is to keep improving, minimising consumption and material waste. Robotics and automation, of which we are already benefiting through Industry 4.0 initiatives, are in this sense further proof of our focus on optimising and saving resources. Increasingly advanced machinery and an ever more efficient production process allow us and will allow us to remain at the forefront of ecological and sustainable business management.
